It’s time.

Seeing as it’s been since April since we last updated our blog, I thought it was time. So much has happened and changed since then. We’ve moved back to Louisville. We’re expecting our first baby. And we’ve just celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary! Those all being HUGE things!

We’re loving being back in Louisville; being able to spend time with family and friends on a regular basis. Not as much as I did Louisville, but there’s been a couple of times where I’ve missed Memphis- Our friends there and our first place just different things. But, I wouldn’t trade it for being home (in Louisville)!

As of today I am 31 weeks pregnant! It’s crazy to realize that in a matter of about 2 months we will be parents. The pregnancy was giant surprise and it’s taken some time to get used to and to get excited about it, but as it gets closer and closer I can’t wait to meet the little one! We bought paint the other night for the baby’s room and I can’t wait to start putting everything together! I have chosen to have the baby at home and I couldn’t be happier to have that as an option! Home birth is such a wonderful thing and I’m looking forward to the intimate and peaceful atmosphere that comes with it.

Our first year of marriage has truly been a great one! I love that man with my whole heart and couldn’t be happier to be his bride! Marriage, I’ve found, is so much fuller of learning than I could have ever expected. It’s like, no matter how much you may know a person before you marry them there’s always going to be more to learn about them… and I don’t really see an end to that learning process! I am looking forward to our next 50+ years together and I pray that I am become everything God would have me be and Mark needs to be as a wife.
